The Hotel we stayed at was The Ramada inn in Alpine. Nice place and they are motorcycle friendly. They also serve a reel breakfast in the morning! After dinner we rode down to the Marffa Lights viewing area just 40 miles from the Hotel. Visited with lots of people from all over the world there. We had a great time.

We where there at Big Bend the first week of April. The locals said the best time to ride this area is the first week of April and Oct. It's too hot any other time. But you must remember to bring you're cold weather gear. As you saw in my video, We had some bad weather on the second day of riding. The good new on that day was they had shinner in the hotel bar. Now I don't drink and ride but, when you're stuck in a hotel with ice on the roads well... there's no harm.

Randall, me and my neighbor were at Big Bend in Oct. 2008. I saw some of the same places that you had in your video. We are going again in Apr. this year. It will be my third trip. I sure have enjoyed the area and the trip going out. Hope that all of you had a good time. Ken
