Robin Willey 1100 V-star TROUBLE

We had a great time at Sturgis. But a little trouble. My new 1100 V-star only made it to Council Bluffs Iowa on the trip to Sturgis. It started making a tick, then it lost a cylinder. After we rented a truck and got it to the yamaha dealer in Council Bluffs,he said i broke a camshaft. lost oil pressure. We left the bike with him and I rode on the back of Jay's bike to Sturgis. We had a great time. I got a lot more pictures this way and he let me cruise down Main Street Sturgis a couple of tim

Rdcnslr Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally, 2010

Just posted pics from the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally in Baker City, Oregon, held June 11-14, 2010. The four days were beautiful riding weather, mid to upper 60's. The rally was well attended and all had a good time. I did not do the Hell's Canyon run as I had completed that in 2009 (see pics). Went by way of Hereford, Unity, Sumpter, Granite, Ukiah, Hilgard, Le Grande, Union and back to Baker City, close to 300 mile ride. If you have not attended this rally, you really have missed a great ra… Continue

Aaron Baltosser Drinking and Riding II

Alcohol was defnitely a factor in a crash that occured last week in Jacksonville, NC area. One drunk rider, naked in addition to having no helmet, and a female passenger (also naked at the time of the incident) and not wearing a helmet decided that would be the best time to go for a ride. Of course cops noticed, and decided to stop and ask for ID. God only knows where they would have put it. The guy opted for running away from the cops. Being drunk, he crashed and the girl broke an arm and a

Dion Liphart Drinking and Riding

Alcohol may have been a factor in the death early this morning of a 64-year-old male Middleton motorcyclist, Rock County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 12:37 a.m. Monday, Rock County Sheriff’s deputies, Evansville Police Department, and emergency crews from Evansville and Janesville responded to a single motorcycle crash at North U.S. 14 and West Union Road, two and a half miles north of Evansville.

They arrived to find a man thrown from his motorcycle and unresponsive.

Aaron Baltosser VFW ride

I had to go out last weekend with one of the local VFW chapters from Burgaw, NC area to Fayetteville, NC. They were a real nice bunch of folks, that wanted to go out and speak with some of our older veterans and remind them their service is not forgotten, nor are they. The smiles we brought walking into their spaces made it worth while to do. Having to ride a good 100 miles just to get there didn't hurt none either.

It's been a long time for the winter to go away even down east. I ride

Philip Benedetti checking current safety issues for riding Tx/Mexico border

Me and my best girl are planning a ride along the Texas/Mexico border starting around Del Rio TX westward to about Presidio Tx where we will turn north on Hwy 67. Since it will just be the two of us wanted to make sure there aren't any current issues w/ safety/security just across the border. I think this route avoids the reported issues w/ Reynosa, Juarez, etc. Anybody have any first hand experiences or suggestions? Continue
