The Richardson family consist of: my wife Tammy, Preston (18y son), Michael (3 Son) and my self William. I have been riding bikes since I was a young one,as most of my family did too. I love the sound and freedom of riding the opened road. But sadly I have never ridden more that a few miles away from home! I love a Harley but can never seem to own one..lol.Well enough of my rambling, my family and I wish every rider a safe ride... Happy trails!!

The weather was pretty today and after being cooped up this winter I decided to go for a ride with my son. Yes my son is riding a moped and this means he has a top speed of 40mph! We rode 125 miles together side by side. We had no plan, no map, at every stop sign we said "which way" we shrugged our shoulders and just guessed. We stopped at 2 waterfall/dams that we pass by everyday in our travels ,and as we headed home I realized something that explained what owning a motorcycle is and should be about. Riding is not about getting from point A to B as we often do in our daily lives. Its about enjoying the ride in between! What you see, hear, feel and do that matters the most!
My next ride will be based on this principal. So to all a toast "May the trip in between be the high life of your travels"

News: as of December I no longer have the privillage of owning a bike, due to the economy...... But may your rides be safe and joyous!

Hello, GWRRA is the largest organization dedicated to the Gold Wing and Valkyrie rider. But it is open to any and everyone that rides a motorcycle. Not sure where Liberty is but I"m sure there is a GWRRA Chpater near you. If you want more info I can gt you intouch with someone near you. Or you can check out the National web site at www.gwrra.org. It is a great orgnaiztion. Thanks for the comment on the picture we just all like to have fun.

Hi. The ride you're remembering is from Murphy (in the mtns) to Manteo (on the outer banks). I don't know of a specific ride that does this - it's about 600 miles or so - but I bet if you check around on the web you might find one. If you need any more NC info feel free to ask. I'll gladly help where I can. Have a great ride.!

Hello Richardson family!! What a great picture of your son!! He can't go wrong with the name Michael (we share---Michael Lilley). Can't say I know where Liberty is but did spend some time with the Marines at Camp Legune at Jackson! (A LONG time ago). I would love to ride some of the roads in that area, but it is a long way from the mountains of Idaho to NC. Enjoy the family experience! Hoorah! Semper Fi!!

Thanks. I started with the 535cc 10 years ago. I like the 1100cc much better.

Thanks for the add. I think she's a pretty bike...he wants to look for something bigger of course, but I'm going to keep this one for myself...LOL. That'll be a while of course...this gets great gas mileage right now.
