I was stationed at Marine Barracks, Bremerton after my 1st Vietnam tour. Arrived Bremerton March 1967. Then back to Vietnam for two more tours. Oh, what fun!! But Bremerton was okay. I went TAD to Pier 91 in Seattle and drove for Rear Admiral Herman Trum, Commandant 13th Naval District and Commander Fleet Air, Whidbey.

You might be prepared to get almost any kind of weahter including a lot of rain. It can also be the complete opposite with nice, mild weather. Take warm clothing for riding as it may be a little cool but can change quickly. It will be alot more humid than Winlock! I was born and raised in the mid-west (Iowa) and 35+ years in the Seattle/Bremerton/Silverdale areas. Given the weather pattern of an El Nino year, it is likely to be wet. Sounds like a great trip, with school in session, not many touristas on the roads. Enjoy! Also former Navy/Marine service, Viet Nam era. Hoo Rah!
