- I no how that is did that once myself years ago good thing I was only about a block & 1/2 from home so i pushed it home. Ive been out riding the last 2 days myself took a little ride Firday down just west of Beloit out by Beckman Mill if you have never been there you should ride up and check it out. Its only about 5-6 miles west of Beloit on hwy 81 to county H then south about 1 mile then went to Madison on Saturday for lunch then took the long way home since it was so nice out. Well you take care & maybe we will meet someday safe riding.

- Thanks for the return on my question about Wisconsin. Yes, the V-Star 1300 is a dream to ride. It has about a 2 inch longer wheelbase than my Honda Sabre 1100 did so is easier on the curves. It also has a little different gearing, I can stay in each gear a little longer so has a broader range of torque. Very smooth with almost 80 lbs. more weight than the Sabre. I put about 120 miles on it yesterday with a trip to Riggins, ID, along the Salmon River. Forgot the camera!!

- When I saw those pictures of the trees, barn and cylo, and the rock outcroppings, I was sure it had to be Wisconsin. I was born and raised in North central Iowa, Mason City and spent alot of vacations in Wisconsin (the Dells, Devil's Lake, Baraboo . . .) Welcome to the site. You will find lots of good people, information and advice here. Up until October '08 I rode a 2000 Honda Sabre 1100.

a great ride
Had a great ride yesterday. All in Northern Illinois, rode from my home in Roscoe to meet a friend in SW Rockford. We rode down Highway 2 through Bryon and to Mud Creek Rd towards Mt. Morris. Mud Creek ends at IL 64 and we continued on that all the way to Mt. Carrol. Lots of motorcycles out on this route!
