Here it is, two days before Thanksgiving and winter is here in the West Central Mountains of Idaho. It is 32 degrees and bright sunshine . . . . . and 4+ inches of snow on the ground. I think my last ride for the season will have to have been about the 2nd of November. Last year was the day after Thanksgiving! I had to use 4 WD to get out of our development at Jug Mountain Ranch and there were Elk tracks and droppings crossing several places on the road! Time to start skiing!!

I hate to be the pesimist in this small group but it looks like our wonderful, intermountain west riding season is soon ending! The front(s) that are beginning to come through look like snow and we know what that means . . . . time to put the away and keep safe for the winter. I know we all have winter activities but don't forget to tend to the winter maintenance issues on the bikes.

I rode the Rockies in 2007. My parents used to live in CO so I have been all over that state. Would love to join an organized ride again this summer.
