I Love riding, even though it's on the back seat for now, lol. One of these days I'll be driving myself!!!

I have had my license since I was 21, I had a Honda 250, sold it and had a child at 23, she is now 17yrs old, I turned 40 in Jan09 and said it is time again to ride, so my husband and I went and got new bikes each in Jan09. I love to ride, I am always bugging my husband and friends to go and ride. Once you ever ride one by your self you will never be on the back again. Be careful and get on that bike!

Hi to All! I am a new rider - relatively speaking. My fiancee and I purchased 2 new 09 HD Heritage Softail Classics in late April. So far I have about 5200 miles on my bike. (keep in mind I drive it to work which is a 52 mile trip one way). We ride every chance we get and enjoy our time on the bikes. We have a communications unit in our helmets so we still have our time to yak.
We were going to get a touring bike but I figured if I had to get my endorsement that I might as well have my own bike. So there! He loves that his lady rides and rides well. I gotta admit I kinda proud of myself too! After all - I am 50 years old and thought I was past the "fun" part of my life. WOW! Was I wrong!

I live in MD so I'm close to NC so I hope that we can become online friends! Ride safe and keep the shiny side up!

Hi everyone. I got my license back in September of 08. I rode a friends 03 Honda ACE from time to time until June when I had the chance to buy my very own bike. It is not spectacular but it is an 84 Honda Shadow VT700C. It is old but it works and besides that the price was right. Other than a few cosmetic needs it runs pretty good. I enjoy riding when I can.

Running, you mean on your bike right? Don't look at the bike or tire. Look far ahead, where you are going, the bike will follow. Also keeping your speed up, or throttle up in a turn is essential. If you slow to much, the bike will fall over. It's all about physics.

Yes, Tracie I had a hard time with that too. My turns were too wide. I'm getting better at it. I agree with Robin in that you have to keep your speed up. I feel the slower I made the turn, the less control I had of the bike. So much to learn!!!!

Hey lady riders, Lynn and I have gave each other the "lady rider bell" for good luck and staying safe while riding. Just idea that each lady rider get one, but remember you aren't supposed to buy yourself one, a friend has to buy it for extra good luck. We got ours at a local cycle shop or you can get them online.

My bell says, "don't ride faster than your angel can fly"
